Do you need a trusted kennel for your doxie or small breed dog while you're on vacation? Have a small family of doxies who need extra care while you're away? Traveling on business? Or dealing with a family emergency or hospitilization? We've got you covered!

Chapman's Dachshund Rescue has provided daily boarding services for well behaved small breed dogs for several years. Owners loving knowing we care for their pets like they were part of our own family.

Money earned from the boarding helps us pay for the operations of the rescue and goes to pay Jessica, our kennel assistant, for all the work she does around the kennel. Gina calls Jessica a life saver as Jessica cleans the kennel Monday-Friday for around 4 hours a day. This enables Gina to focus on adoptions, placement, and transportation coordination for rescues.

Please make sure your dogs have current rabies DHPP vaccine and bordetella vaccines. We are unable to provide boarding services to owners who cannot provide proof of vaccination. Have your vet call us if you can't find the paperwork.

An appointment is required for drop-off and pick-up. Unfortunately, we are not equipped or staffed to accept drop-in appointments.

Drop-off & Pickup Times:

Mon-Sat, 9a-6p (appointment required)

Sun 2p-3p (appointment required)

Due to staffing schedules and adoption times, Sunday drop-off or pick-up is limited to between 2-3 pm only. If you are unable to make it within that window, your dog will need to be picked up on Monday.

Concierge pick-up and delivery is available. Our kennel assistant handles pick-ups and deliveries for owners who don't have the time to bring their sweethearts in person. The cost of drop-off or pick-up is $1.00 per mile round trip.

Option 1: Cageless Kennel Condos, $25/day + $10/day each additional dog in the condo
 

We have 4 cageless doxie condos for families of dachshunds or individuals who need a bit of extra space.

Condos can fit up to 3 mini doxies. Daily base rate for the condos is $25.00 for the first dog plus $10.00 for each additional doxie or similar sized dog that can share the same condo.

Extra blankets and heat are available in the condos for puppies and mini doxies who are prone to chill.

Option 2: Comfy Crates, $15/day + $10 for an additional dog in the same crate
 

Our crates are big and comfy, with lots of bedding and blankets for burrowing, warmth and feeling secure. Crates can be shared by 2 bonded doxies. We never recommend boarding non-bonded pairs in the same crate.

Crates are an excellent temporary home for those dachshunds who are already crate trained at home or those who tend to be nervous in new environments. The smaller space helps limit anxiety and blankets provide plenty of opportunity for burrowing into a secure feeling position.

Regardless of the boarding option chosen, all board dogs receive exceptional care and opportunities for exercise and potty breaks. We consider your doxie to be part of our family while they're with us!

All dogs get 5 or more, as needed, supervised potty breaks in the kennel's large, private, fenced yard. This yard has it's own 4 foot secure privacy fence and a covered sunning area for playtime.

While the boarding area is attached to the rescue kennel, we maintain complete physical separation of boarded versus rescue. This separation is for the health and safety of both the rescue dogs and the kenneled dogs. It is enforced by space, fencing and physical layout design so dogs can’t bump noses through fencing, etc.
